In my statutes

Leviticus 26:6-9

I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove savage beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country.

Lev. 26:6 NIV

Who may lie down to sleep without fear?

Being able to lie down and sleep in peace without fear or anguish is a great blessing.

Men spend around a third part of their lives sleeping. This means that one who is 30 years old has been around 10 years in bed. One who is 60 has been some 20 years of his life in bed.

Night time is very important. The Eternal has created sleep to help men function correctly both psychologically and physically. Sleep alteration causes many negative effects and in extreme cases it could be fatal.

According to this text, being able to lie down and sleep in peace is the result of obedience to the commandments.

"I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety." (Ps. 4:8 NKJV)

If you want to sleep well, be obedient to the Torah.
