On the mount

Leviticus 25:25-28

If one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells some of his property, his nearest relative is to come and redeem what his countryman has sold.

Lev. 25:25 NIV

Who is the closest relative to Adam?

Redemption is the act through which the original state of a person who fell out of favour is restored. Adam lost his right to the possession of paradise because of the sin he committed. There was no way for him to get it back.

HaShem had a plan - to send the closest relative Adam had to redeem him so that he could get in and possess paradise again. Who is that closest relative?

The second Man.

"He answered him, "I tell you the truth today, you will be with me in paradise."" (Luke 23:43 NIV revised)

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." (Rev. 2:7b NIV)
