Tsav 25-7

Command

Leviticus 8:30-36

You must stay at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and do what the LORD requires, so you will not die; for that is what I have been commanded." So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD commanded through Moses.

Lev. 8:35-36 NIV

Do you want to be successful in life?

To be successful in life is to fulfill the divine purpose for which we were created. Aharon and his sons were created to serve as priests. When they started their priestly ministry they fulfilled a large part of their lives' purpose and that's how they were successful in their lives.

However, they couldn't have done that without submitting to Moshe rabbenu, the greatest of all prophets. HaShem chose Moshe and the other prophets to speak to the people and the world; and all those who love the Eternal take heed to the prophets' words.

It's not always easy to obey the Eternal's orders. It wasn't easy to stand out in the open, at the entrance of the tabernacle during a whole week – day and night, with no food, without the comfort of a bed and with no roof over their heads. The price to succeed in life is high but the reward in heaven is great.

Trust the Eternal and you will have a certain future; trust His prophets and you will succeed in life, as it is written in 2 Chronicles 20:20b: "Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful." (NIV)

Shabbat shalom,

Ketriel
